Good picture Robert, and you must have an insight on some of the most significant music because that is good stuff and I am no druggy just an old hippy.

In nowadays, unfortunately I am neither...but I am getting pretty old...
Music from this time period is either incredibly great...or really dated...Jimi...however...like all true artists...will always be relevent and timeless...
Thanks so much for your appreciation...and to use the vernacular of the time..."peace, love, dope...and the Beatles..."

I appreciate Hendrix music now more than I ever could when I was very young. Paul and Ringo are pretty far removed from any drugs these days. Actually Ringo was into booze much more than drugs from what I have read.

I feel exactly the same way about Hendrix's music...it was actually WAY over my head when I was a teenager...I mean it was "cool" and all that...but the older I got the more I "got it"...and it still sounds "way out there" even by today's standards...
As for Paul and Ringo...oh, I don't know...I think they still both probably use "a bit o' the weed" now and again...as for Ringo being a booze hound...yeh...he must have mellowed out...or he probably wouldn't still be around...

right, I am sure they use weed. I think Ringo really had to stop drinking to save his liver. No doubt they use a little weed. This is about as far as we can take this without being removed on the forum.

Didn't know you could even call it those fellows screaming into microphones nowadays music... Today, its either remake number 7 or a bunch of obnoxious noise.
Personally, I prefer "true" classics, aka Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, etc. though to spice things up I throw in some Ragtime. Nothing like the hustle and bustle of the roaring 20s stars' fingers tickling the ebony and ivory to keep you awake on a warm summer afternoon.

You have such an "old soul" for one so young...though I must admit I also love the classic's and ragtime...also Gershwin, Porter etc...There really are only two kinds of music...good and bad...
I actually have a degree in music composition..but.not enough talent to go along with it...and that was many moons ago...so that's why I eventually became an elementary school teacher...
