Just have a question about what software everyone is using for setting up flightplans. I used to use FSNavigator but its not around anymore so whats the new thing. Its depressing I really like FSNav with the moving map and the flightplan export options.

well if you use fs9 you still can get it
http://www.fsbuild.com/navigator.html

Me i dont use fs9 which fsnavigator wont work with... ive heard some have gotten it to work but i haven't tried. I use FSCommander...
http://www.fscommander.com/
which works with both fsx and fs9

you can also try www.simroutes.com, vroutes and a slew of others, just google "FSX flight planning" or "fs9 flight planning" and you will see what I mean

FSCommander is prob the best one out there for planning, etc. FSBuild is very good as well - but does not have the complete interface capability that FSCommander does. Works for both FS9 and FSX

Have used FSNAV just fine with FS9 for quite a few years now. No probs. If having probs may want to try right clicking the application file for FSNAV and open up Properties then go to Security tab. Make sure its giving your User full access. Or change compatability mode. Or Run as Administrator. I usually try these things if an application won't work. Usually solves it for me.

I use Flight Aware for RW flight plans and can also get up to date charts as well. FlightAware not very good for much outside USA tho. The DVA site has a pretty good flight planner and chart access. Also SimRoutes.com is a pretty decent tool. I use a combo of these sometimes by copying from FlightAware and pasting into SimRoutes. Or just copying each waypoint into FSNAV manually then saving it and exporting it.
