"Back in the saddle again..." Gene Autry

Hello...just a quick update and thankyou to all who tried to help me in my "darkest hour"...and said such kind things about me while I've been away...Don Thomas included... rolleyes By the way Don...it's nice to see someone else get censored besides me once in a while...all kidding aside I took your post in the spirit it was intended...I'm a bit confused why it was removed...

Anyway...for those who even care...My "fried" HD could not have come at a worst time...as most of you know...I'm an elementary school teacher and needed to start getting ready for the new school year...so I didn't have the time needed to deal with this unfortunate circumstance...

I of course, had all my FS "stuff" backed up...but let me tell you all...I had TONS AND TONS of stuff on that HD from years and years of flightsimming...all setup to perfection...It was all on a separate (from my OS) drive...so it's taken me this long to reinstall most of it onto a new HD...and the worst part...I knew right off...was dealing with all the registry problems that go along with such a massive reinstallation...it's been a very frustrating couple of weeks...I had quite a few "false" starts and had to start the whole process over and over again...and I could only do a little at a time...so I wasn't sure how long it was going to take...

I'm happy to say that my setup is almost as good as new...I took my first flight in "The Queen" yesterday...by the way...thanks for keeping her "warmed up" for me Nicholas...and all seems well for now...

I suppose the DVA community can look foward to some more of my uniquely stupid threads and posts popping up from time to time...It does seem a bit "quiet" around here... plotting

Once again...thanks...and it's great to be back "flying the friendly skies..." oops wrong airline... eek razz biggrin

Technically speaking, it isn't as much a spelling problem as it is grammar. He spelled the word correctly. What he didn't do was use the correct word.

Technically speaking Norm...it was a brain fart typo...sometimes even teachers write faster than they think... wink

However, I actually mispell or use improper grammer intentionally as a pedagogical technique...just so my students can "correct" the teacher...it sort of evens the "playing field"...and can be very empowering for them...but not this time...nope...just a brain fart...that's all... redface
