I remember seeing a program a while back that lets you use your laptop monitor (over a network) as part of your monitors for your Desktop -- but I cannot seem to remember the name of the program. Does anyone happen to know what it is?

You already have the laptop open....can't use the laptop itself for that?

It's an extremely old laptop, old hardware. Not quite as fast as I'd like.

It's not really an FS related program. WideFS just lets me use programs like ASE and DeltaVA ACARS on the actual Laptop. I'm looking to extend my desktop to the laptop monitor, so I can use my desktop mouse/keyboard/programs on the Laptop screen.

How old is old? Even an 8 year old Celeron laptop with 512mb of memory runs XP SP3 fairly well. You would be surprised what a fresh rebuild will do for an older computer. I've had my hands in computer hardware for over 30 years now (professionally) and I'm not aware of anything that will do what you are asking.

Get one of these and run another monitor from the USB port.. Works nice as a third monitor.

Skylar....you use three screens for your VC view? .... doesn't that distort the VC? Just wondering

I'm not stretching it,NVIDIA surround reads 3 screens as 1 individual monitor, so it doesn't distort it.

Oh ok ... I've seen other's screen shots and the two secondary screens always seen stretched and odd looking.

I actually repaired a similar unit manufactured by Texas Instruments years ago. It was marketed as a "transportable computer". About the same weight as an ociliscope of that same time period (I'm thinking 85ish)
