I've done some searches within the forums, but haven't really found the answer to my question. I would like to know what determining factors are used to create an historic flight. As present day Delta is made up of many defunct airlines (Northeast, Western, Northwest...etc) are historic flights only those that Delta continued to fly after the mergers, and subsequently dropped, or can they be routes that the other airlines flew prior to merging with Delta?
