I have been trying to start a flight in acars on my new windows 7 os but for some reason it will not start a flight. it always says it detects an error and that FSX is not on the server. then it will say that fsx is not even turned on. I do not understand since it Acars will turn on and connect to the chat. I have tried uninstalling reinstalling. I have tried starting as administrator and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you starting BOTH FSX & ACARS by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator"? I usually start FSX first, let it completely load and then start ACARS afterwards.
