For the last couple of weeks I have increasingly encountered an unresponsive FSX mid flight. Mostly with a Wilco A320 but I have recreated the issue with an A330. All flights were on ACARS and using Sqwaukbox, the OS is W7 64bit. I seem to have reduced the problem to flights originating over the United Kingdom, four attempts from EGNT today (one in an A330) all ended with an unresponsive FSX as did one from EIDW. I also tried a flight from EHAM to ENZV which ended in the same way. However a leg from LEAL to LFPO yesterday and LEAL to LMML today ended without incident. It seems that being over a certain latitude is the problem. I have tried the last two airacs in the MCDU to no avail. Appreciate suggestions banghead

Cathal,
That's odd that it is only flights originating in the UK. Not really sure what it could be. Did you install any UK scenery rescently? What I do is save my flight often, and when FSX freezes, just reload the flight. Hope this helps!

If you are using an AI addon like My traffic Ect try un and re-install you may have some corrupt files in there.

I think Terry might be right on the head with that. I would always get those in the past, but recently it has been much better. The only thing I did diffrently this last install is keep the majority of the AI files off.

Thanks guys. It could be that Terry is right, since my post I reinstalled FSX entirely on it's own drive, along with sqwuakbox , ACARS etc. I did not install scenery or AI other than UTX Europe. I didn't update the AIRACs on the Wilco A320 either, and since then two flights north of the channel and no hang ups, fingers crossed.
