Hi,

First off, great looking site, glad I found it. Just completed two offline flights, while I was waiting on my user ID so I can start using ACARS. I do have a question in regards to ACARS and offline flights.

If I use ACARS with Radar Contact without VATSIM, will my flights be eligible for promotion?. I would rather use RC4 than to run a flight where I may or may not have access to online controllers.

Thanks

yes, as long as it get approved (it will unless you do something like crashing the plane) when you are setting up your flight in ACARS just select "offline" under network. and welcome aboard you'll love it here!

Offline ACARS is different from offline network. When you fly with the offline option selected in ACARS, you are flying not connected to VATSIM or IVAO. When you fly offline ACARS, it just means that you are not connected to the ACARS server but your data is still saved and can be uploaded to the site through your pilot center.

Welcome to DVA Michael!

We're glad to have you aboard Michael. It looks like you're off to a great start but let me know if you have any questions. You should have received an email with your pilot ID after that first flight was submitted and approved.

And even better, you do NOT need a pilot ID to use ACARS. The setup program can give you a temporary ID to use.

Cheers!
