Ok to start with I have 2 computers the old one is not used anymore but it still has a compressed version of FS Navigator. I've copied this file to a flash drive and loaded it up on the new computer. Everything seems to go well until it starts to install, the installation is almost instant very fast. It installs in the correct location but it is missing some files I've compared this to the files on the old computer. I start FS and press F9 to bring up FS Nav but nothing happens. Just wondering if I might be missing something when I'm copying this file, would it be better to email this file to myself from the other computer.

There's something funny going on here, but also, don't forget to run the database compiler from the start menu before running FS.

I've ran the database and it did run but still F9 did not bring it up. All the files are not installing correctly because the database is not there initially i had to copy and paste it there under the MODULES/FSNAVIGATOR/BIN copying the location from looking at the old computer.

The installer says it installed correctly but when I go to control panel/add and remove programs it is not there, this is not right. any ideas? anyone

If it's not in Add/Remove programs then it sounds too me that there are missing registry entries. Your installer may be corrupt.

Are you transferring the bits and pieces from the modules folder? I can't remember the exact dll but you need to make sure that they get moved also, this is your direct link to make it work in the sim.

I recently formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 could something have happened during that process. Everything else seems to work fine and it wasn't my first time doing that sort of thing but you never know.

I wonder if FSNAV is Windows 7 compatible. Isn't it an older app that is no longer supported?

Thanks for the help guys. Jeremy you were right it was the FSNAV.dll it was missing but I got it off the old computer and placed it in its correct destination and it works. Just one little file don't know why it wasn't installing it, anyway thanks alot and maybe I'll see you guys in the air sometime. Merry Christmas captains. One more question does FSC get better after you get used to it casue it just wasn't working for me.
