Hey guys,

So I bought a new computer and found out the video card slot is not the same as the video card I already have. So, I am looking at the nVidia 9800 GT. I would get the 9800GTX but I can't afford that and from what I've read, the GT still runs FS like a beast. That true? What are your guys opinions?
My specs:

Intel Pentium D dual core 3.4ghz
1GB DDR2 RAM
75GB Hard Drive
PCI Express 16x slot and PCI slot
Got it all for $40 too!

The two cards I am looking at:
http://www.amazon.com/nVidia-GeForce-9800GT-PCI-Express-ZT-98GES5P-FDL/dp/B003DTMLZW
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-nVidia-GeForce-PCI-Express-512-P3-N987-TR/dp/B0032W20YW
I'm hoping to purchase one today, as I was hoping to have my new computer running FS before the work and school picks back up.

Oh, and one other question.. How do I know if I have a PCI Express 2.0 slot? Would that be the PCI-E x16 GEN 2.x specs that mean it is a 2.0?

Thanks! smile

Looks like you got a great buy. I would have to say that your PCI Express slot is not a VER 2.0 as I do not believe they were available when the Pentium D came out several years ago.
