	I think I might have a texture or effect file that's gone haywire in FSX. This is what smoke looks like right now. Does anyone happen to know where I can get a replacement?

	Go into your Disk 1 MSGAME1.cab. Restore all the effects files and all the bmp files in the texture subfolder

	Hmm, I actually don't have that on either disk. Only D1Fea~0 thru 19 .cab, which has a bunch of unopenable files in them.

	Man I sent you the info for fs9 let me find the fsx file for you. You can always put in the fsx dvd and run the repair option

	Yeah I was thinking of doing that, but I was worried I'd have to reinstall a bunch of my scenery, which really is a bunch.

	I have the same problem. The contrails turn blocky at cruice, usually above FL240. Any other smoke too.
