I'm not a big fan of freeware aircraft, but I know we have a number of young flyers at DeltaVA who frequently use them. During some mindless browsing today, I came across one of the best freeware Aircraft I've seen to date. I thought I'd share it with you:

Movie: http://simviation.com/fsnd/menu.html

Download Link: http://simviation.com/fsnd/Downloads.htm
Note: it's the second link from the top, but I recommend taking a glance at the Citation X (first link) too.

Also, I found this handy little auto-land gauge for those of you flying the default aircraft: http://www.fs2000.org/index.php/news/product-review/6-review/133-autoland-gauge-version-21-for-fsx-and-fs2004

I tested it in the default FSX B7837-800 at LGA, and it was very good (it calculates a speed and does pretty much everything). It flared about 90 feet above the runway and then stayed about 4 degrees pitched up until about 20 feet and then went flat for a pretty rough looking landing. It put up the spoilers (I didn't have them armed) and the autobrake (which I didnt have set) and put the reverse thrust on until 55 KIAS, and then turned off all of the autopilot and itself at 55 KIAS so I had control. The gauge is good (it says it will even put the gear down in you forget), but the landing was rough. Just get it and test it for yourself! **I only tested it once, so something might have gone wrong (my error) (it says that the CG MUST be right, or else the autoland will not work).

PS- I downloaded the MD-83 for FSX and when I was on the wing view I got a CTD. I don't know what the problem was.
