Hey everyone,

I am having an issue with my scenery that just started happening. I decided to hop over to JFK where it is crowded to see my new frame rate with traffic. After about 20 seconds sitting at the gate, the scenery flashes and then goes all blurry. Anybody know what causes this or how to fix it?

My specs are:
Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.4ghz
75 GB Hard Drive
1GB DDR2 667mhz RAM
nVidia geForce 9800GT PCI-E x16

Thanks!

Weird, I got that exact same problem with onboard video... it shouldn't be happening with a 9800GT... are you running NHANCER for video settings?

Yes, I have NHANCER running my video settings. Ive been testing some stuff and it turns out it only does it with certain aircraft. The only one Ive found so far that does it is the DVA Fleet CRJ.

I think your video card is overloaded and it under-clocks itself. Try going in to your video card control panel with something like riva tuner and make sure that any type of throttling is turned off.

In addition you may not have enough ram 1 gb may not be cutting it.

And you might wanna add another stick of 1GB RAM to ur rig. You didn't say which OS you run. Either way, minimum RAM for 'normal' OS performance is 1GB [if ur using XP or Vista *ouch* or even Win7 u'll want to bump that up for gaming].

Thanks for the responses guys! I had ordered a 2GB stick of RAM before Christmas, but the order is still being processed and wont arrive for a week. I am running XP. So maybe because there isn't enough RAM, the processor and card are being overworked trying to keep up that it just gives up on the textures? I sure hope the 2GB stick of RAM is the answer! smile

wow. i think the problem the whole time is your ram. why would you have a power comp like that and only 1 gig?

Thats because the computer only came with one GB RAM at the time.

Ok so I now have 3GB DDR2 RAM running and I am still having this problem. This shouldn't be happening with the specs I have. Does anybody know what causes this or what can fix it?
