I know the Z key shows frame rate, and I know you can never have enough RAM, but I need to see if I NEED more RAM. Is there a way to check this while FSX is running to see how its performing
COMP. Dual monitors, Vista 64bit, 6GB ram, Radeon ATI 550
GAME. FSX with Acars, Fs Passenger Demo, FS copilot, 3D shockwave lights./setting in game set to custom with ultra high on most settings/ I get about 15FPS...lower on the ground at a busy airport, closer to 8 then

you could look at windows task manager while running FSX and see whats being used. I would think that 6gb is plenty unless you have a planeload of background processes running. Im not familiar with your graphics card, but it may be your problem.

I checked my system scores and all where 5.9 except RAM was 4.7 and graphics 3.8/ the graphics are fine to my standards. I forgot to mention I have about 35 AI airlines running to. It just gets a little jerky at a busy airport but only for a second.
