Hey guys. I know this problem is very common but I Had FSInn before and was talking. Well something happened, and I had to reinstall FSInn. I set all the volumes where they were last time and also set up my PTT keys. I started FSX and FSInn and had all green lights at the bottom right. But, when I went to talk to press my PTT button nothing happened. I pulled up my VVL bar and it even showed the color change from blue to orange for me transmitting. When i press my PTT button, i don't get the beep lol. Please help

On the VVL bar - check to make sure that you have your sound control/voice control going to your headset/mic or whatever your set up is (you hover your mouse over the little speakers and it will tell you). Also, make sure that you haven't inadvertantly changed your default sound driver (or you have the correct one selected - Direct Sound vs. WAV, etc.).

Yes sir everything is correct. The light shows I'm pressing the PTT button. I have the sound driver going to the Direct Sound driver since Wave doesn't work.

I have the same symptoms. It will work 95% of the time. So I watch the orange light you are talking about and if it lights up and I don't hear anything, I know the headset is not working. I end up closing that interface (the one with the stoplights) then I wait 5 seconds and restart it. I am back on the air. It is a pain, and I have not figured out how to fix it. It happens more often when wife is in the galley which is next to the cockpit. I think my headset is picking up some electromagnetic interference from the galley (kitchen) and doing something to my computer. I need to ask my wife to stay out of the kitchen when I am flying. eek

Lol...sometimes my computer soffers of weird problems when my wife is around too ...has to be that devil look every time they pass by eek
