Alright guys I'm thinking about buying a new processer for my computer. So far i've upgraded the power supply Video card ATI 5750HD memory 8 MB ram Sound blaster Xi-Fi titanuim I think thats it The current processor is a AMD BE-2300 Dual core

Your mobo is Socket AM2 so you will need a socket AM2 processor. I think I remember hearing something about being able to upgrade from socket AM2 with a simple bios update but I'm not sure.

Honestly, I'd spend the money and upgrade to a P6 Mobo and Sandybridge i7. I'd be happy to put something together for you if you'd like.
