During long flights is it ok to advance the time by 2x or 4x and still get credit for the flight or does it have to be in real time?

If you do them in 2x or 4x they count, but they don't count towards the 10 flights to be a captain.

Some people aren't in a position money wise to leave a beefy computer running all-day. Some advance time to get to a point where they are close to their destination before pausing and go to work. Some that fly offline realize that there is very little going on in the cruise portion of flight, and since they have busy lives, choose to devote the sim time they have to getting in and out of airports.
