I currently have a Nvidia 8600 video card and am looking to upgrade. Has anyone had any experience with a GT240? I think it might be a little outdated but would it be good for FSX? Also, is there any big difference between a GTX460 and a GTX480? I hear a lot of pilots talking about GTX460's but they can get a little pricey. The GT240 is more in my price rangebut not sure if it would work well with FSX. I just want to get something that will work with FSX without any stutters. Any advise would be great appreciated. Many thanks!

What are your system's specs? Usually graphics cards don't help a ton with flight sim.

I might look into a faster CPU, or overclocking. Also what might help would be upgrading from vista to 7. If your heart is set on getting a new GPU, I would look into getting something from the 400 series, as the 200 series is already 2 generations old. As far as stuttering, it is usually from the CPU, because FSX is very CPU heavy

(look at the graph)
Hope I Helped...

I had a diagnostics done on my computer and found out the graphics card is going bad. So I know I have to replace that. They said the processors tested okay. This computer ran FSX like a charm before so I knew something was wrong. When I heard my graphics card was going out I figured that was what was causing some of my bad performance issues. I think I will look into a 400 series card and see if that does the trick. If not I'll start planning for a new rig. Thanks for your help, Dylan.
