Just wondering if anyone out there is running fs9 on windows 7 and checking the compatability issues. My local pc retailer said that fs9 will not run on windows 7 as it is only designed for the older systems, windows 98 or xp. Currently in the process of upgrading(i seriously need one) my pc and looking at a new gaming machine with pretty good spec, the only problem is they all run windows 7. Have no real desire to start using fsx so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks guys, thats the system sold to me then. Not too sure of the best spec's for running fs9 but the new machine has 8gb ram, i7 processor, 2gb dedicated nvidia graphics and 1tb hard drive, will this get me a good performance? I think i must currently be running one of the worst spec pc's on here!! but never planned to be here long, however now i am totally hooked and in for the long haul so an upgrade is essential!! My current spec just for fun is windows xp, 1gb ram, 2.4ghz processor with a 40gb hard drive and no graphics card only onboard graphics, surely no-one is running worse than that!

You should be able to run FS9 extremely well. My computer has about the same specs as the one you describe and I run FS9 maxed out and get about 50 to 100 fps no problem depending on the weather.
