The past couple of days I have been experiencing my FS to pause for 5-7 seconds in flight. Nothing more than that. Does anyone know why this would happen?

It has to do with the ACARS. Can't remember how I fixed this issue with mine, but I "THINK" I turned of the "automatic flight saving" feature.

Doesn't that disable flight recovery?? (not sure)
I think you can fix it by checking free space left on the HDD ur using, or RAM usage.
It might be your CPU at full load?
Monitor it from task manager, you should find the cause.

my fs pauses a little bit every 50 seconds because ACARS is saving my flight in case it crashes (which it's been doing quiet often these days). It might be doing the same thing with yours. Try setting the ACARS flight saving thing at a greater interval, and see if the time between your pauses is longer.

I have this problem only with the PIC 737. If I shutdown ACARS it no longer does it. I will be looking forward to a remedy.

I did some test flights, without ACARS everything runs better and I don't have the pause. This might want to be a "Issue".

I turned off "Automatic flight saving" and my problem is solved. I thought I tried that once before and it didn't work. Oh well, its fixed now.

I remember this issue had to do with your antivirus too.
Try disabling it for a while with ACARS running, if that solves it , then allow FS & ACARS to run without being scanned.
Also set your AV to gaming mode?

I haven't changed anything to my computer when it started, but now my entire computer freezes for a few seconds.

I did just hook up another monitor to my laptop. Also my CPU usage is sometimes pegged at 100%. Anyone know how to fix this?

I try to shut down most things that are not necessary that i know off right off the bat lol. Those things like msn messenger yahoo and so forth that I can tell what they are - the other things i leave because I don't want to end the wrong process...

but on the case of the pause, I get a major pause when i use the PMDG 744 and the MD-11 my other a/c doesn't give that noticeable pause not even the PMDG737 does it.. I do see a lil lag but it's for a quick second only, but when I'm using the 744 and the MD-11 the pause is for sometimes 10 or so seconds.

I would hate to have to not have the auto flight saver on in the event that something goes wrong, but it can get annoying..

@Elise I have done that as well, max out the time before it auto saves; we wouldn't want to be on final and it sticks like every two minuets lol...
