I keep getting run time error 52. I have done what the good folks at RC4 have advised and no luck. I just sent another debug log to them. I was wondering if anyone here ran into a similiar problem and might know the cause and how it was fixed. At this point I am about to throw the computer out the window!!!! I keep getting to request push back and start and Bam!!! run time error!! Any assistance would be appreciated since most of you have more computer skills in your pinky than I do in my entire body!! Thanks in advance...........and if not I just may resort to getting my hammer out!! I know how to work that thing!!! LOL

i had this problem some time ago cant remember how to fix it, i can say if your running win. 7 and are also runing fsx as Admin, make sure you run RC4 as Admin as well. heres some other things to try.

what version of makerwys.exe is in the root of the fs directory? i think 4.41 is the latest. if you don't have the latest, get the latest from the link pinned to the top of the forum

then next time you run rc, click the rebuild rc scenery database button, and let rc build a new database from your scenery

then try your flight again

Anthony, I have been doing the run as admin thing and I did check to see if makerwys.exe was the newest. I have taken a break after 2 straight hours of failure. Gonna give it a couple more tries. Thanks for the suggestions. I will go back and go from step one again...............this hobby sure can take it out of you!!!

I have given up on this program just sick of mucking with it..........I have gotten one or two flight plans to work from FSC yet others will not and will just cause the error. I wish I could use my hammer on it (would make me feel better) but it was a download. O well.

try using Simroutes. get a route off there same flight you were having trouble with see if it still does it, could be a flightplan error with FSC

You need to make sure that the AIRAC database that you are using in FSC is equal to the database you are using in FS. For European waypoints go here:

For general Global go here:
http://www.btinternet.com/~gb.mitch/index.html

RC4 relies on the FS database - not really its own - so when you mix and match unknown waypoints - that's why you are running into some of your issues.

WOW I must be a lucky man, never had a problem with RC. Since FSINN suddenly started killing my frame rates RC is all I have been using.

I had that same problem with RC. I'd reinstall it and it'd come up again after a few flights. For some reason it seems the program has a problem finding the folder for the flightplans that are imported. So what i did was delete about 90% of the flightplans in my flightsim files folder, and then make sure it knew which folder to go to to find my flightplans. Haven't had that problem since.

Thanks for the links Andy, I will give those a try today and make sure all is up to date. I will also go in and reduce my flight plans in FS also. Being gone 3 and half months at a time and not being able to touch my flightsim computer I tend to have to learn everything again everytime I get back home for R&R. Again guys, thanks for the advice, I will try all and hopefully will get it back running.

Well, the problem seems to be with my FSC. I used a flightplan from SimRoutes and had no issues. Not sure why but I am not complaining. At least I can use RC4 now. Thanks to all for the suggestions.
