Would it be possible to change the DVA schedule (as well as ACARS tool) to use ICAO codes instead of IATA? I mean, we're all navigating and programming in FMS's...why are we using IATA for scheduling?

Because RW Delta uses IATA, and we use their schedule...

You can change your user preferences to use ICAO codes, just check your pilot profile.

Cheers!

Really? When pilots bid on flights or examine schedules internally does it really show airports in IATA codes?

I was talking about the actual schedule that's available to the public. The server has a process set up to downloads Delta's exact schedule for the day. I've never actually seen an international bid sheet, but I would assume it's still IATA, since the domestic bid sheets I've seen were all IATA.

I seen on paper work both IATA and ICAO codes for pilots and FA's for delta while doing ron flights, or while reading acars when they divert they use say well MLB or DAB is open. That was awhile back when I was working ramp. I would use DLterm to read acar msgs from dispatch and pilots.
