I'm fairly new to FSX. Can anyone tell that whilst in VC view or any close up view of the aircraft all the ground rextures are as clear as anything but when I switch to spot view my PC comes over all blurry?
Thanks in advance for help.

Yes John, I am. It's either only just happened or I've only just noticed it. I'm trying to think what I have installed lately that may have had an effect. I was thinking along the lines of the affinitymask line in FSX config but if you have any thoughts on AA I'd be all too pleased to hear them. For info I'm using an ATI HD5750, with ATI tray tools. I have heard that anisotropic filtering can have an effect on ground textures, what I don't get is that all is hunky dory apart from whilst in spot view. Not the end of the world I know but I'm a bit of an obsessive!

Spot view is the hardest on FSX (graphically) as it is rendering a much larger scene plus the aircraft. You can try tweaking the sliders a bit. I'm not quite sure how to help you with the ATI--I'm an nVidia man myself.

I was reading on another forum about a cool diagnostic tool called HEAVEN benchmark. Give it a try to see where you stand on your graphics

Read this and follow it carefully, its helped me:
http://forum.avsim.net/topic/324786-nvidia-configuration-guide-inspector-2xxxx-drivers-version-20-explanations-of-all-settings/
This assumes you're using Nvidia of course, if not, well then you're on your own
