When flying a codeshare flight on Vatsim do you use your DAL callsign or that of the airline you are flying?

Not to completely resurrect a dead thread... But I have a question along these lines:

I'd kind of like to use my callsign, DAL2748 for a couple of reasons: (1) I've been saying it for so long that I tend to fumble the words when trying to use a different callsign; (2) I like keeping all my DVA flights organized and rolled up into one number as far as the VATSIM stats are concerned.

However, for codeshare flights, if I continue to use DAL as my callsign, would controllers find it confusing or even notice if the "airline" I selected in Squawkbox was that of the actual codeshare airline and not Delta's?

Jim

It won't bother controllers if you select one airline in SB and then use a different callsign. Feel free to use whatever callsign you wish.

Controllers don't know what airline your flying for, we only see your callsign, type aircraft, assigned squawk code, origin/destination, cruise altitude and requested route.
