Hi all,

I have a computer I built about a year ago with a pretty good motherboard, 4 gigs of RAM, and an AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition at 2.5 ghz

I thought this would handle FSX without issue... But, not the case. It is decent, but at busy airports or airports with a lot of detail (fsdreamteam jfk for example) it shows signs of not being able to handle it...

Which would you guys recommend for the best performance? I am thinking quad core was a mistake in lieu of speed...

Ivan . I run the AMD 970 BE. OC to 4.0ghz and it runs FSX great. I would think your MB would be compatible with it.
