I made a small adjustment and turned off a program I dont use in the MSconfig startup

Bittorrent

for some reason now all my services start up and I have over 48 active of them using almost a gig of ram on startup...

Can somebody help me with what I should turn off and dont need. Before this I had it down to 39 or 38 and 513mb memory usage.

Trevor - I'm using xp but I guess its the same - I would run MSConfig again, on the 'General Tab' I would select the 'Normal' start up radio button. on the 'Services' tab, perhaps 'Hide all microsoft services' and then manually review the others and decide which are superfluous, finally 'Startup Tab' manually review and get rid of what you don't need, things like 'Adobe Reader Speed Launch' etc, then Apply, OK. If you also look in the Web Resources of the Pilot Center, on the second page down there is a link to 'FSX Tuning', works for FS9 also, definately worth a visit.
