I read this while experiencing CTD's after a re-install of FSX.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/win-7-64-bit-fsx-fatal-error-ctd-restart/14fc20fa-9dca-465b-be42-146414087ec5

I did the work and am having much better luck. I would get CTD's upon landings and approaches using FSInn. FSInn has a lot more weather and frame rate unfreindly aircraft and I am now able to ramp my sliders up quite a bit in FSX and FSInn.
I will report any issues and or positive progress.

It's interesting how this link calls for deleting UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL while other I have read say download this file to your root FSX folder.

Thats what I was thinking, but my FSX crashes even when it is in the FSX folder.

The UIAutomation.dll in both the 32 and 64 bit windows 7 are getting used when the FSX UIAutomation.dll accesses it I believe. I may be wrong but FSX works with 32 and 64 bit correct? and windows 7 operates both. The conflict with both being accessed may be causing the crashes. Adding the UIAutomation.dll didn't help one bit for me. I just finished a flight from KATL to KJAX and had an overall FR boost even after lifting the traffic and weather. I will continue to report any problems and or boosts.

For those of you who are concerned about messing with FSX once again I totally understand. I bought this PC to specifically run the game and it does not make the crashes go away, it has to be a conflict within W7 or FSX and right now this is working, so I will report.

as of right now I have no CTD's and tried to purposefully get FSX to CTD. I also removed two more UIAutomationcore.dll's that may have been interfering also. I am more concerned about overclock at this moment. Sliders are maxed, FSInn traffic and weather is increased and my frame rates are maxing at 50+ and averaging at about 30-35. I am in the middle of my third flight after pushing FSX to CDT and it is stable so far. One thing I must mention is depending on your antivirus and firewall, FSInn needs to have full access, I know for sure McAfee firewall will limit the access and cause CTD's also. I will report any bad news, but for now all is running cherri.

I have removed the UIAutomationcore.dll from Windows/Sytem32 and SysWOW64 .. You may need to take ownership of those files in those folders to be able to delete them. Then I downloaded the UIAutomationcore.dll that Nick from SimForums suggested. I can't seem to find the post where the link to download his was.. But I have it and put it in the FSX folder. I have not had ONE crash since then! I was also getting a CTD when exiting FSX ... I found this was related to FSINN and I had to go into the options and disable to tuner. Since then I haven't had a CTD on exiting either. If you'd like me to send you my uiautomationcore.dll let me know or you can try searching for a post from Nick on simforums as to what Im talking about. I searched but came up with nothing and I didn't remember to save the link when I found it... banghead

Matt, you are still running a UIAutomationcore.dll in your FSX root folder? nice! I may put mine back in and see if it still runs clean, I still am running stable no CTD's. Glad to hear you are getting good results!! cool
