I keep getting an error message when I start FS9 about a bad FSSound.dll file. It happened after I tried to download a program for FSInn. I thought I got rid of the program but it must have added a .dll file and I'm not sure where to find it or how to know which one is bad.... and how to fix it if I were to find it. Any ideas?

By the way, a continuation of my vid card issue.... I'm pretty sure it's not going to work. Every time I start FS the card goes belly up. I looked at my nvidia control panel and it says the monitor is not connected to a nvidia gpu. I'm running off the motherboard monitor. Gonna contact nvidia and see if this replacement card is still under warranty from the last time they replaced it.

"Nooobody knows...the trouble I see!" frown

Art - copy the file and save it somewhere - and delete it from FS. It has to do with the FSInn having an old version of the FSSOUND.DLL file. Once you remove it and reboot - you sould be good to go.

dll's mostly reside in Modules
also, this dll may have an entry at the bottom of fs9.cfg (I may be confusing this with fsx though)

thought you had to asdd [Old Modules] then FSSOUND.DLL to the FS.cfg file?

that's what I had in mind, I think it happens automatically upon startup when FS discovers "old stuff" in Modules
but I think it only applies to FSX

Thats a good thing if FSX will do it auto and I wasnt aware of that. When FS2004 first came out many add on aircraft panels were from older fs2000 and beyond and had the FSSOUND.DLL for gauges in the panel. It had to be manually added to the FS9.cfg. It could be agrivating smile
