Nope, we have more clouds than that To be honest, Seattle has the best summer weather of any place I have ever been. In July and August it's nothing but clear skies and mid 70s to mid 80s. Any other time of the year I'd say you have a 1 in 3 chance of a sunny day. Oh, and what you hear about it raining all the time isn't true. It drizzles all the time. A good hard rain is VERY rare.

My family and I went to Seattle for a short vacation last May. Honestly the nicest summer climate of any place I've been to - that could be of course because I grew up in London

Lower average rainfall that Miami IIRC.
My wife was there on an MOD posting working at Boeing on the E3's before we were married. I spent a lot of time there, great city, scenery, weather etc etc.

Sounds about right...I used to live 90 miles north of there in a place called Anacortes. It rains on average of 265 days a year, the rest are all sunny, beautiful, and one heck of a place to live. If I get hired with Alaska I know where Im going.

I lived in the PNW for 13 years (PDX), and personally I couldn't stand the weather. Overcast, drizzle, cold. There are only two seasons- rain is coming and rain is here. I'll take my home Texas anyday. And yes, I like the summers! I'm just a hot weather guy.
