I am about to do my A320 Checkride today. Anyway my question is when flying the particular SID and STARS for my checkride without ATC what am i expected as far as my altitude. In real life ATC gives you an initial altitude then tells you to expect your filed altitude 10 min after departure for lost comms. Do i do that or am i allowed to just climb to my filed altitude after takeoff as long as i meet all the crossing restrictions for the SID? Also with descent can i descend in accordance to the VNAV path angle as long as i meet all the crossing restrictions for the STAR? Just would like someone to clarify this so i dont mess up the checkride. Thanks in advance.

My advice would be email Larry (CP), Anthony or Jorge (ACP) to get your answer.

I would say check with the CP but if not--Fly any appropriate altitude above the MEA on each leg taking special note of statements that say "Turbojet Navigation...expect to cross at..." Those are altitude restrictions.

Is there not specific lost comm procedures for that airport or departure procedure? What airport, departure procedure/runway you using?

I thought Check Rides where not aloud to be discussed in the water cooler... the altitude should be marked on the email that is that if not then you should contact the person who emailed you the info
