Hey guys i wanted to see if my PC specs looks are good enough, im running fsx and its seems that i avg 14 fps, but on the ground while taxing i get around 7-9 fps and at cruise alt i get 20 i have adjusted the graphics several times but the performance lacks sometimes and likes to hesitate abit:

AMD athlon II x4 640 processor 3.0 GHz
4.00GB RAM
64- bit operating system
ATI Radeon HD 4200

i love fsx and would hate to go back to fs9 but i wouldl like some opinions on this please

I honestly wouldn't tackle FSX with anything less than 8GB of RAM. Also that graphics card would be better suited for casual gaming and not running FSX on full settings. (not that you are trying to do that but just wanted to add that on)

well actually it is good but barely in a few areas and in others its great but it wont get but so far you will need a lot more to get much more out of FSX

Thanks guys for your opinon, and robert thanks for that link i used it and seem to do some justice, but i only took out the default c172 so i will see if it has an effect when i bring out the paywares

Amount of RAM isnt as big an issue as CPU speed is. Phenoms are much better than Athlons for FSX.
