Anyone have a link for a good defrag for FSX? Trying to help it run better.

The defrag that comes with Windows is just fine ..... You will not see any performance increase by using an aftermarket defrag program.

Mmmm... I wouldn't say those exact words. I used the windows defrag for years and finally bit the bullet and got O&O Defrag. I was like you Michael, having a hard time believing it would work better, but it has helped out for my rig. Not everyone will notice a difference though, it all depends on your computer. But if your interested, head over to O&O and download the trial: http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/products/oodefrag/
But with that said, FSX might not improve just from a defrag. If it used to run smooth and is now bogged down, then a defrag would help. But if it never ran good, it may be a hardware issue you may want to look into upgrading.
Hope that helps!

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter.
That should take you to it.

Can a defrag make it run better than it already does?

Depends. If your system has never been defragged, than most likely. You can run the Analyze Disk and see what % of fragmented files you have. If its a high % then it will probably help. If its low, it may not help at all. But keep in mind, don't expect to gain 10+ frames from a defrag.

Yes, It will be an option in the defrag program itself.

Greg - I would go along with what Kyle says - and here is a guide on setting up FSX and using O&O. http://www.simforums.com/forums/setting-up-fsx-and-how-to-tune-it_topic29041.html As with all these things, YMMV, but have a good read of that and see how you get on.
