When FSX crashes does it generate an error file I could look at? ....if so, where would I find it?

Thanks smile

lemme guess Mike, you have fsinn and the new pmdg and getting all sorts of fatal errors?

EDIT ever since installing the new 737 and using fsinn i can stay connected for a whopping 6 minutes then my sim crashes and locks up. Started a help ticket with pmdg and the response I got was its an fsinn thing, made a post at fsinn and they said its a pmdg thing. go figure, it worked flawlessly for me before i had the 737 and now not so much

It's nothing to do with FSInn. The interaction between FSInn and the plane you fly is nothing. The only thing I would suggest is that you re-run your aircraft database update. I have the new 737 and I have no issues at all with any interaction with FSInn from XPDR to autopilot settings, etc.

As far as an error log, I use Dr. Watson and it stores any log files in my system here:
F:\Documents and Settings\XXxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson

this is the same response I got from my post at fsinn, funny now its deleted..... How do you think that it has nothing to do with fsinn when the sim ran just flawlessly before I had the pmdg installed, I have ran the aircraft database several dozen times now and still have the same results. Fatal error after fatal error, only when running fsinn. Can use squakbox just fine with the pmdg, but no longer can use fsinn as it locks my system up 100 percent of the time.

No ...don't have FSInn nor have I ever used it. SB4 works great for me. Yes ...I have the new 737NGX and it works flawlessly, I don't have any issues with it either.

Soooo...back to MY thread:

Does FSX create an error file?

well being that he answered you I figured why create yet another thread when all I was asking was maybe we both were having the same issue. But back to YOUR thread,,,,,,,,

Michael - I'm not aware of FSX creating an error log, but you may want to look into the Windows event viewer (right click my computer, select manage) it may contain the info you are looking for.

Thanks! ...sort of what I figured. Usually FSX gives me the error details after a crash but every so often it doesn't.
