Hi, Im not sure why. Maybe I thought i could come here and ask for a suggestion on why. I was flying a rather short flight from ATL-JFK in the level-d 767. Nothing happened that caught my eye really and I noticed about 100nm from JFK accroding to the Fmc, Acars states im 179nm from the airport. The flight time still goes on but from that point till landing Acars stops flight progression by showing im 179nm away from the airport. Yet i wasnt. Dont worry, acars still had the disconnect buttonm and end flight button. I landed and taxied to the gate, ait didnt show a landing rate. And when I stopped to click end flight. It said it couldnt because It thought I was still airborne. So 2.3 hours was not wasted, its really the experience that counts, but that flight somehow got wasted. Im not blaming acars really, it was working fine before and i changed nothing in the computers settings. So I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion to say why acars stopped flight progression at 179nm from the airport and kept saying i was airborne.
Merci Beaucoup, DVA9900
