DVA Staff,

Good day. I wish to withdraw the request I made last week for admission into the A320 program. I have requested on two occasions that I be withdrawn from the equipment transfer process, so as to allow my advancement to CPT in the 738 program, but this has not yet been effectuated. In the course of my familiarization training with the A320, I discovered that I was not well suited for that aircraft and greatly disliked its features. I now, once more, respectfully request that my withdrawal be processed immediately so that my VA career may proceed unhindered by this temporary procedural dilemma. Thank you for your time and your continuing diligent service on behalf DVA.

Respectfully,

Jeff Putz

hey,

why dont you try PMing one of the a320 staff if they are on ACARS one day, thats what i did and they did it for me right then and there

otherwise, it sometimes takes a while for them to do it cause they have so many C/R's to grade, flights to accept and so on. they also have rw things to do.

Or e-mail them if they aren't on ACARS. But if you are assigned a checkride, it is deleted after, I believe 21 days, correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you for your suggestion Remy. I'm not planning on being on ACARS until later this evening (EST) and I submitted my request for the transfer withdrawal over 48 hours ago and then again yesterday. It wouldn't be so imperative if not for the fact that its holding up my promotion to CPT in the 738. I know they're generally pretty good about monitoring these forums and will likely encounter this thread sometime soon.

Elise, I've emailed them twice, to no avail and I don't want to have to wait 21 days in order to take a CPT exam that I'm ready for now. Thank you for your post though and I appreciate your helpfulness.

I tend to create a helpdesk issue when I want to delete a CR and a member of Senior Staff will do it.

Thanks Jordan. I will probably pursue that route since this thread hasn't solicited any staff attention yet.

Jeffrey, I don't have any e-mail from you in my inbox regarding the checkride, my e-mail is Jorge_Rojas@deltava.org, make sure you typed it in right. I just removed your equipment transfer request into the A320 program in the system.

You should be able to withdraw your transfer request from your pilot center....

I've seen that feature before (while applying for the 738 program), but for some reason it was not available to me this time. ACP Rojas has obliged me in my request BTW.

Ok, good. Maybe you can only withdraw an additional rating request?? Dunno. I know I've seen it before.

Jordan hit on a very good tip, one that all should take note of. When communicating with staff on a matter such as this, it is best done by opening a Helpdesk issue. It's pretty hard for us to read through every post in the cooler in a timely manner. There just are not enough hours in a day. A Helpdesk issue generates an automatic email to the Operations Staff and allows us to more quickly and effeciently address your request.

Glad you got it taken care of Jeffrey. Blue skies and happy 737 landings!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the request can only be withdrawn through the pilot centre until a CR is recieved.
