Today I'm trying to plan a flight (ICN-LAX) and I had a great (If I do say so myself) flight plan and I downloaded it normally. When I tried to load it into FSX, it wouldn't load it up. What's the problem here?

There is an option at the bottom for FS2004 and FSX... not sure if that might make the difference?

Can you see the .pln file in the ..\mydocuments\flight simulator files? (default FS9 location)

I can see it there. Although I tried to load it from the Downloads folder (which has worked countless times before), I moved it to the Flight Simulator Files folder in My Docs. I even restarted FSX but that didn't help.

If you are clicking "show flight plan" in fsx, it will give you a different route, if that's what you're talking about. You just have to click OK, and save it again.

I want to load the flight plan, not make a new one. The one downloaded should be finished, so I want to load it to use on my flight.

hey ethan,

i ran in to that problem when i first started, then i just started to download the file, and instead of clicking open, i would click save, and it would save it to my documents. when i went to load it in FS i just clicked Load in the FS flightplanner and went to my documents and picked out my particular FP. it works.

Also . . . Once you have it loaded, just click OK. Nothing else.

This is what Elise was saying. If you click over to the next screen, it will take the Dep and Arv airports and create a new plan.

Just LOAD
then Click OK
if it asks you to save it, Do. It's the same plan.

I've been doing that, and it's worked before countless times, so I know I'm doing it right, but the problem is this particular flight plan.
