Hi everyone!

Recently I passed my 737 Captain exam (I have been assigned to 737 Program when I joined). And today I have also passed 757 First Officer exam. Now it says: 'You are eligible to transfer to or request additional ratings in the following equipment types: B757-200'. But what exactly I have to do? In 'Pilot Testing and Promotion' I have two new options now: 1) 'Switch Equipment Programs'; 2) 'Request Additional Ratings'. Or maybe can I simply fly it now?

Thanks in advance for any help

Kind Regards

Dominik Trybuchowicz

You can either request a Check Ride for additional rating for the 757, or request the Check Ride for transfer to the 757 Program.

Of those two options, I personnaly would stay with the 737 biggrin

Ok. So I clicked 'Request Additional Rating' and I have selected '757-200' from a drop-down menu. Does that mean that after the possible chceckride, I will be allowed to fly either 737 or 757 whenever I want (for example 737 on one flight and after that 757 on another)?

And yeah, I really like the 737 too and that's why I would like to still be able to fly it wink

Yes... in order to fly aircraft other than the ones you are already rated for, you have to pass the FO exam and a checkride.. Pass the ride and you can fly the next aircraft... Most people in our community will get rated on most or all aircraft so they can fly whatever they want at any time..

Once you're CR is approved, you can fly either one on any route that is within your chosen aircraft's range.

But even if you decided to transfer to the 757 program, you could still fly the 37.
