Well, last Monday I ordered a new PC to run FS on, it has an i5 2500K, 8GB RAM, and a Radeon 6870 GPU, my next step will be to install FS9 and sometime in the near future purchase FSX...but for now I'll be running FS9 at 400fps. I bought it off of ibuypower.com as part of their labor day sale and saved a bunch...it would have cost about the same amount for me to build it too, so it was a win-win.
I am really happy to be able to get back into DVA after my laptop quit running FS out of the blue last spring. It;ll be good to be back!
I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives, and report back on my frame rate.
