Hi All,
I have in the past couble of month been thinking of changing from FS9 to FSX. Of course there is pros and cons, but my biggest concern is if I will be able to run it with almost same result as FS9 (with alot of add-ons.)
My computer is now 1½ years old and here are the specs:
Intel Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz
6 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT220 graphic card.
Thanks in advance

You will need to dumb down the settings a bit, in my opinion.
No one here could legitimately tell you, for sure, whether or not your FSX experience on that particular computer will be satisfying or not. There are too many variables. I'm positive it will run, how many frames and how well it would look is impossible to tell. 15-20 fps on medium settings is my best guess.

Peter, you could also look at overclocking the CPU a bit, that could get a bit more performance for you. A quick google shows that 4.5ghz is achievable with this CPU. A lot will depend on your mobo, cooling etc. but I would guess that 3-3.5ghz wouldn't be setting your sights too high. Do some research and see what you think, I'll help if I can. Now, having said all that, I know that FSX is a CPU hog, but I think that your GPU might be a bit of a bottleneck.

I run FSX on my Asus G73 (core i7 up to 2.7GHz, 8 GB RAM, ATI RadeonHD 5800 series) at medium to medium-high settings with FPS locked @ 20 with an external limiter and it's way better than FS9. Sometimes it's not quite as smooth as what I can get from FS9 at full settings, but the drastic visual improvement is way worth it.

I'm running FSX on a Sony Vaio that's almost four years old. My processor is around 2 ghz, 3 gigs of ram, windows vista and no graphics card... Its just integrated into the system. You'll be just fine.

Thanks for your answers.
I tried installing FSX earlier today, but the result even with default scenery and aircraft wasn´t very good.
So I will be sticking to FS9 for some time.

Don't give up so easily. It takes some tweaking to achieve the desired results. Often the games graphic suggestions aren't great. I would try this link: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html
