This is the first time I am purchasing a laptop for FSX and I wanted to know if these specifications are good enough to get great FPS with scenery and payware aircraft the total for this will be $1200, is it worth the money and is there any better one for the same or less money. Any help will be very useful Thanks.

I started on Asus G51vx (which only has Dual Core at 2 GHz and GT 260m) laptop and it did fairly well with stock FSX (and other PC games that are resource hogs). So I would have to say what you are looking at will handle FSX, as for that payware part I have no idea as I am still new to FlightSims and have gone there yet.

Personally though I would go desktop as it is much more upgradeable when the time come, granted I still use my laptop for a lot of stuff between work, home and when I can afford a college class.

You should be able to get respectable frames but don't expect too much.

I have this computer. It is extremely fast, and not too much more money compaired to what you have, its a good deal.

Thanks guys I decided to go with a desktop its down to either ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=417547 ) or ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=254044&srkey=syx%201088 ) it seems the only difference is the graphic card and I save $150 smile Any input on the better choice would be greatly appreciated.
