Hello fellow DVA pilots. I would like to take this oppertunity and say hello and introduce myself. My name is Brett, been flying online for a very long time now, (10 years). Flightsim is more than a hobby for me, its a passion. But most important, it's my stress relief and realaxer!! For the past 10 years I have been on VATSIM. That's the only way I fly, online. I live in STL, married with 3 kids and am a fireman for the city of STL.
In December, I get to make the big jump from a flight stick to the Saitek Pro flight yoke, thorttles and rudder peddles. I have been wanting those for a very long time now. They were a early bday gift to me, so I had to promise not to open till my bday. Sucks, but a promise is a promise!! And it keeps my mind on of the big 40....
I have a pretty decent setup for FS. Still VERY much a FS9 guy....love it, I have about every addon there is . I have a two monitor setup, 24" main, 19" that I use for charts, and my laptop, the ASUS G73, that I run Flighsim commander off of.
Was a beta tester for SB3, but with in the last couple months made the move to FSInn and have not looked back.
Anyhow, getting my first flight in now, and am looking foward to meeting you guys and flying with you in the virtual blue sky.

Welcome, Brett - I'm a near-newbie and a Saitek user - received the yoke/quadrant, pedals, and radio stack from my wifie for Christmas. You will probably love that stuff. You can set up responses that seem realistic for big, heavy birds. Tell your wife you deserve to open your presents early!
I'll see you on TERPZ departure out of my home base, BWI (go, Terps) - as soon as I tame my new IFly 737NG, which is an awesome bird, once the procedures are known. It's kept me offline until I feel confident with the systems. Reallg getting to know FMC-controlled flight is quite involved in this one.
