I have a (kind of) crazy idea. Since there have been so many major cutbacks at Memphis & Cincinnati, along with the ongoing retirement of the D95s and the final Saab will be gone by 11/30 we could create a series of flights that were there in recent history (1991-merger). Since there is still the NW code listed on the website, we could use that code for some non existent pre-merger NW routes.

With this we could include on the PMDL side:

762 flights
more M11 flights
AT7 flights
E35 flights
more L1011 flights
733 flights
732 flights
EV EM2 flights
more 727 flights

We could include these flights on the PMNW side:

SF3 flights
ARJ flights
DC9 series flights
M81 flights
727 flights
F27 flights
C58 flights
J31 flights
D10 flights

and of course fights that have different equipment than now.

I think there's some real value in revamping our historic schedules. They're a mish-mash of things we've accumulated over the years, and I have an October 2009 schedule (the last with NW) that I'm going to use. The challenge is going to be getting a representative sampling of routes and equipment, while at the same time not duplicating much of our current schedule.

Cheers!

Well, I was thinking about going with a schedule around 2001... where the MEM, MSP, and DTW hubs were at their peak and a late 90s schedule for DL with the PDX gateway, DFW hub, and a true CVG hub. The 2009 schedule might not work because, that was when NW had already started integrating their routes.

But don't we want intergrated routes? Why have historic flights from Northwest before they had anything to do with us?

Northwest has had a strong relationship with DL since the late 1990s... I believe. Also, it's a part of the Delta family because , they did merge with DL. I would also be interested in getting some WA schedules and putting them into the system.

Luke let me know how I can help, I have a extensive back ground with sorting through the old timetables. I have alot of Delta and NWA ex-timetables, earliest dating back to about 1950. Let me know how I can assist! Recently I found those new Concorde routes that we're added, thanks to the help of Terry for adding them. Ive even actually myself suggested this "revamping" to the Help Desk gentleman to try and get some A310, B190, ER145 flights, essentially every aircraft Delta once flew and or the ones we can fly but dont have any flights for anymore in the schedule to get added and proposed some flights from the voided NWA schedules, and suggested even the old NWA Shorts 360 hops from Guam to get added to our schedule since around May, understandibly they've told me their extremely busy so nothing has materialized. So this is right in my "wheel house. Let me know how I can assist!

I cannot wait to get started on this. I haven't had actual time to "fly" due to a few windows computer difficulties, and because I just haven't had time. But, I do ask this: How exactly do you enter the flights into the system? I'd be willing to do that for sure as well as searching for some information.

Hello All!

Was also thinking about our fleet library. It is in desperate need of upgrade. HJG just came out with new MD-90 and MD-8X models this month. I was thinking that whoever puts together the installers could use these and include the NW/RC MD-82s in the package. Also, our DC-9s need to be updated. I could see a lot of flying, if they were brought up to FSX compatibility. We'd need the textures of Air West, Hugh's Airwest, Bonanza, Republic, North Central, Southern, Delta, KLM, Alitalia, and of course all 3 of the Northwest schemes.

I've also found a decent S340, DO-328 and BAE-146 on simviation.com recently. Don't remember who made them though. They do work with FSX.

I have found those too.

Any progress on the route additions? The information is very easy to find via departedflights.com
