Hi everyone,

I started university at the beginning of October, and since then, I can't connect with ACARS! This is what happens:

[16:27:52] Cannot connect to ACARS server at acars.afva.net
[16:27:52] Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 15527

Now, I'm guessing that my university IS blocking port 15227 - in fact, I'm pretty sure that they are blocking any ports that aren't generally used for everyday Internet activities, as I can't connect to VATSIM either.

I will probably write to the IT department and ask them very nicely to unblock it, but is there any other solution?

I miss AFVA! frown

Your only other option is to select "No Internet Connection" in the ACARS settings and fly disconnected from the server.

Yeah, I have done that a couple of times, but it's nice actually to be connected. I'll write to the IT dept biggrin
