I have sat on this computer waiting for the fsx demo to load for 20 minutes!, i have tried to reinstall fs9 and it didn't work then i tried to get the demo and it still didn't work! I really need some major help because i don't have the time now to go over to the grandparents house and use their computer because i have basketball and lacrosse. The only logical answer to my problems is to get a laptop, I am still looking for a laptop now but I will check in with you guys to see if it could run fsx (i don't know anything about computers).

FS on a laptop can be done depending on the specs of the laptop. Did you have a couple in mind that you was looking at? If so, give a link to them.

Also, on the computer you currently have. Is your only problem with FS or are there other problems going on as well?

I personally have used an Asus G51vx for all sorts of gaming within the FPS area as well as FlightSims. Granted it is now been replaced by a desktop and about to get its memory erased.

What kind of system are you trying to run the fsx demo on? You may not have sufficient processing power, memory or graphics capabilities to properly run the program, as it is quite demanding. So start with the basics and tell us, if you can, what version of Windows you have, the computers RAM, any information you have about the processor and the type of video card.

its the same computer that i have run fsx, fs9, and the fsx demo on before, before now they all worked, also i have windows 7 (i got that a little bit before my school year started, Sept 8, 2011)

Those machines which you've posted links to are all on the low end of the fsx system requirements, and may even be considered at the threshold of minimum requirements. I have 6 gigs of RAM, an ATI 5800 HD video card, a quad core processor and I still have to run fsx with reduced graphics settings to avoid causing the game to crash. I recommend you adjust your settings, make sure you've installed Service Packs 1 and 2, update your graphics drivers and also confirm whether other programs are functioning properly, if not, it may be indicative of a virus.

One can run FSX on a P4, and all three are way above that.

Yes sir I understand that those machines may be able to run the game, but based on my own experiences with how demanding a program fsx can be, it seems as though he would want a higher end system, if he's planning on playing with the graphics settings adjusted upwards towards maximum.

Well thanks with the response guys, I posted those because i need a computer that has a webcam so i can skype with friends and its portable, I think it can run fsx, im fine without having the ability to have the taxiway signs because then i don't have to fly online, that will be a bummer but with a laptop i will just be doing the longer flights meaning i won't even be online most of the time. That is why i listed those laptops, also i don't want my dad to spend a lot of money this Christmas because i am getting the iPhone4 already.
