Hey everyone,
I just put in a new CPU and GPU into the computer today and it is an improvement! However, even with the GTX 560 1GB I still get stutters in heavy thick clouds. It isn't as bad as before, but shouldn't that be gone by now with this card? I have posted my settings and a shot showing the card maxed out. I hope someone here will be able to help me trouble shoot this! Also, if anybody is running FS9 with the GTX560 and doesn't experience this, could you share your settings?
My weather addons are:
AS6.5
REX Overdrive
Thanks!

Kyle check out this forum post... Lots of info, your gfx card settings are incorrect..... Also remember that FSX is CPU intensive not so much GPU, change your settings and your GPU shouldnt run at 99%......

Thanks for the response! I am running FS9 at the time, maybe FSX just for kicks and giggles sometime. My CPU is running FS very smoothly, frames locked at 33 and it does not drop below 32 even at FSDT new KLAX scenery. The only difference I can see between that and what mine is currently set as is the Transparency and Vsync settings. Ill give it a try and see what happens. Here is the guide I've been following: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/324786-nvidia-configuration-guide-inspector-2xxxx-drivers-version-20-explanations-of-all-settings/
Edit: Tried that link you sent and I still get very bad stutters. Do you think it could have something to do with REX and AS6.5 not getting along?

Kyle, change your NEG_LOAD BIAS to CLAMP and see what happens!
I have also learned over the years that good performance comes with compromise ...don't expect just because you have a good hardware you can maximize everything without paying a price!

People always forget, a 'system' is what runs your FS, NOT the video adapter.
You not only need a good GPU, you need a good CPU, a fast BUS, a fast
CHIPSET, and fast MEMORY. They ALL play a role in your performance.
Taking some honkin video card and plugging into, say, a gen 1 PCI slot
on a system with SLOOOW memory bandwidth, won't really buy you
a lot.
Cheers,

I understand that. And thats why I have concluded it has to be the video card. My CPU usage is only 50% yet my GPU usage is 100%... that kind of leads me right to the GPU. My Mobo is fairly new, CPU is good and my 4GB DDR2 RAM is fast enough.

Kyle,
Idk if you've tried it yet but try reinstalled REX. I know it's a pain but it'll give you a fresh start with all the themes and options. I just have this feeling that the stutters are somehow linked to rex.
