After today completing my 105th flight in the 757, the time has arrived for me to move on, I've loved every minute of my time in the rocket but today I finally purchased the PMDG 747-400 and will with a mixture of sadness and excitement be applying to transfer into the 747 program, I know I'm still able to fly the rocket however my preferred method is to master one type rather than do multiple types, I love the 757 but for me the "Queen" has always had a place within me and to learn this aircraft will take a fair amount of time and effort as for me it's not enough to just fly, I have to earn my 4 stripes, especially as I intend flying online with her.

I feel with the 757, although I still enjoy flying her, I've mastered most of the aspects to the point where I dont even need the checklist now, in many ways it's great to be able to jump in and go and it's a good way of building flight legs, hoewever to be a captain(I know I need to be a f/o first) in the 747 for me is the pinnacle so that is another reason for wanting to switch at this time.

I also will be moving hubs from Atlanta up to JFK just as I did from MSP to KATL when I moved from A320-757

Anyway sorry if this seems like a letter of resignation but I guess I just wanted to share my experiences with you fantastic pilots.

PS any help with my PMDG training(how many manuals!!) would be greatly appreciated

Thank you guys, yes indeed Nicholas, to perfect this aircraft will take a lot of work, fortunatly I have a week off my real job so can begin type training now, thank you Stephan, when I complete the 10 flights to captain would you be ok to do another sig for the Queen?
