Hello Everyone,

I have been running FS on a laptop, for more than 2 years now. I get around 10-15 fps on FSX and FS9 I get 25-30 FPS. I have 2GB of RAM, and my question is if I get 4GB of total RAM, will it increase my computer's performance and FPS for specifically FSX?

Thanks!

Significant or just slight? I don't want to spend 70-80$ for very little fps increase.

Laptop RAM is generally more expensive than desktop, isn't it? From what I hear it can be a pain to install, too. Better to use a desktop for FS. Buttt..... if that can't be helped, I'd recommend a RAM upgrade anyway. Only 2GB for either sim isn't a lot, even if they only "use" 2GB. You'll experience more stability for sure with more RAM. It might not be an FPS increase, but stability-wise it would be worth it. For an FPS increase you should really invest in a desktop so you can upgrade as new stuff comes out. Laptops are limited.

If its a 64 bit os then yes if u install over 4 gb. If u have a 32 bit then up to 4gb is fine.
It Will certainly help your overall performance but not a significant increase like a cu or graphics card upgrade. Cheers
