I'm thinking about switching back to FS9 on my laptop due to problems with FSX. I'm hoping I can get better performance out of FS9 as my laptop is on the slow side for FSX. Does anyone know how FS9 handles with Windows 7 and dual core processors? I know at least early on FSX had issues with dual core compatibility. My question basically is, with a slower machine, will I get better results running FS9 over FSX?

I actually get the same or better frame rates on my laptop with FSX than FS9 on medium settings. If I remember correctly, FS9 does not make use of dual core processors. I may be wrong. Someone with more knowledge is likely to chime in.
