I believe I am getting the Saitek Pro Flight yoke, quadrant and rudder pedals for Christmas. My question is will I need the power adapter to add extra power to run everything smoothly? The description for the adapter states if you're adding various panels to your yoke you might need the adapter. But it doesn't say anything about adding the quadrant and pedals. Anyone else with this setup and are you running it with or without the adapter?

I have the yoke, quadrant, and rudder pedals also, I ended up buying a multi port USB 2 hub to handle all of the USB cables. I had a yoke that stopped working a while back and figured out to much was going through the on-board USB hub and when it failed the yoke failed also. The adapter will be nice but I would rather use and external USB hub just in case!!!!

I have the Saitek Pro Flight yoke, quadrant and rudder pedals also. I have never experienced any power issues before although it wouldn't hurt to have an external USB hub.
The only issue i've seen is the LED display not lighting up anymore.

I have a USB hub for all my saitek stuff (yoke, pedals, throttle quad and radio stack) I was told by a computer wise person that multiple usb controllers are better thru a hub.

Thanks for the info....I will get a hub. Maybe that's why my LED failed me

The Saitek yoke IS a hub smile I've had mine for a few years and the only real
problem was the throttle pots have become flakey with use, just a month or
so ago I broke down and bought a new quad. Pedals and yoke have given me
zero problems, oh well, the LED on the yoke is weird but I've never cared or
used it anyway.

My big gripe right now is that X-plane does not seem to support the yoke very
well, I have tried to get the HAT key to work as it does in FSX and can't. I've
thought about Track IR but seems an expensive prereq to use a simulator smile

Anyway, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to put it on another hub but I have not found
it necessary and I've had years and years of enjoyment from it.

A separate hub is powered. The yoke isn't. It makes a difference. It has for me and a few others I know. The Yoke also only has 2 usb ports.

I plug my throttle and pedals into the yoke, and the yoke into the back of the computer.. 750w PSU isn't even phased.

Thanks for all the information. I will probably go ahead and spend the $6 or $8 dollars on a multi-hub just to be safe. Not that much money to error on the safe side. Looking forward to graduating from the joystick to the yoke. Thanks guys for the help!
