Just got an e-mail that says captain sim is having a 9.99 (24 hour) sale. and FSPilotShop.com has some items on sale. My question is one of the items is Traffic X, does anyone have this, and how bad does it destroy frame rates? Is it worth the buy?
Thanks

I like the 767 & 757. Use them all the time. Behind pmdg I think they are great. And both of these models have been upgraded recently and the navdat info is easily updated at navigraph. To me, it would be a no-brainer. I bought the space shuttle and the c-130 last year during this sale. The c-130 is nicely done, but I never fly it. The space shuttle - never once flew - ever. I'm not into the legacy planes like the 707 or 727 - but I've heard they're pretty good too.

I got a lot of enjoyment out of the CS 767. With it on sale, it'd be a hard case to say it's not worth it. Like Brian said, it's not on the same level as PMDG, but it's still a great addon.

Yeah, at CS everything they sell is on sale for 9.99 for 24 hours. But more importantly (and more specifically) I'm looking at the traffic X from FSPilotShop...that is what I'm really asking about. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I.E. frame rate deduction, immersion in real world traffic...etc..

When I am not flying online I run traffic x. The models visually are nice and a good variety of liveries. If you run the traffic slider to high there is a very noticeable frame rate hit though.

I have Traffic X, it's not too bad, the models aren't beautiful, but they're fine. As Patrick said, you'll get a very good amount of liveries as well.

^ This is very important. if you run traffic at around 50-70% you will be fine, but that's pushing it (70). If you go any higher, you will notice a very big hit on frames.
The Captain Sim 757 is awesome (I've only used it for FS9, I have yet to purchase it for FSX, maybe today is the day). Very nice system modeling, and a good step up from the QW 757.
